EWPS Whole School Project

Dear Children,

I am very sorry that our lovely school is still closed and that you can’t be with your friends in our beautiful playground. Your adults have probably told you that we have a problem with some spiders that we need to take care of. We already have people sorting this out for us.

Your teachers have put work for this week on our website and there will be more work for next week. We are also putting this into packs for you to collect. We will explain to your adults about how to get this. We are all working on a plan to get you back into lessons as soon as we can.

This is an important lesson about how powerful mother nature is and that sometimes things just happen that are out of our control.

So what do you know about spiders? Most people don’t like spiders but they are very clever little creatures that play an important part in nature. We have put together a home learning project that you can do with all the family.  We are going to make a big spider display when we get our school back so make sure you bring in your projects when the school reopens. We are also going to run a competition for who can create the funniest spider joke. Mr Hilton’s one is:

“What does every modern spider have?”
“A web address!”

I think you can do much better than this! I will have a prize for the winners, so get thinking!

In the meantime please remember to stay safe. I’m looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
