Quarter 1

Mr Edgaras Opolskas ( Parent of Emilis in Year 5 ) completed the London Marathon back in April. We celebrated his success and kindly donated £560 of book vouchers to the school.
Celebrating School Responsibilities.
Our House Captains - Farwa, Oyelakin, Cindy, Daniel M, Maya, Markas, Kemi , Rexhep, Aroush and Blake.
As part of their commitment to the school, they assist in setting up and taking the lead in Friday Celebration assemblies, count house points across the school and gathering ideas for school events such as charity - led fundraisers and house competitions.
Our Ambassadors – Elizabeth, Zain, Kairone, Deborah, Ayden, Diana , Samarah , Emilijus, Muhammad, Milana, Eric, Matas, Mariana, Jessica, David P , Amelia , Natalie, Blessing and Raphael.
As part of their commitment to the school, the Ambassadors support the younger children at lunch time in the hall. They welcome visitors and give tours to showcase our learning environments.
Our Junior Governors - Ayden, Lakin, Mattas, Emilijus, Darius, Harry, Tope, Austeja, Isabella, Laurynas, Lohith, Rueben, Bliss , Daniel , Adam, Zoe , Angel , Aleeza, Aariah , Tajus , Danielius, Nuh , Faris and Beatrice.
Our Junior Governors have an exciting year ahead. They will work together to collaborate exciting ideas and implement them throughout the school year.
Our Wellbeing Ambassadors - Jonathan, Albie, Esther & Sumaiya.
Our Wellbeing Ambassadors help to promote our school’s vision and core values. They support their peers to feel safe by being visible and approachable. They wear Wellbeing Ambassador badges with pride so others know who they are and feel comfortable to have a conversation.
Reading Champions- Frankie ,Alisha , Robert, Austeja, Avaya , Mahdiya ,Emily , Meta , Sophia, Darius Liliana, Nyla, Eliora, Iqra ,Layla ,Hafsa ,Musa and Charisa.
Our Reading Champions encourage children to read and support classes to access books they will enjoy reading. They also have the responsibility of library duties ensuring the Library is kept clean , tidy and organised though-out the week.
Sports Leaders - Oliver, Nicole ,Karolis, Reece, Aleksandra, Rida , Mia, Sarah, Filip ,Ridwan, Emilis, Shannon ,Tanya ,Harry, Nefeli ,Khalid, Aisha and Fadi.
Our Sports Leaders encourage children to excel during sports events throughout the year. They support Miss Dains in organising and delivering Sports Day and have the responsibility of looking after the Sports Equipment during lunch time.
Harvest Festival

Our harvest festival was a wonderful opportunity for the pupils to reflect on thankfulness and the importance of sharing. We celebrated with songs and assemblies. Thank you to all who contributed!
Up and Out Week
This year, we were fortunate enough to have the following visitors, visit our children from Reception to Year 6; lollipop lady, chefs, builders, musicians, roofing managers, music teachers, wildlife charities, staging managers in the west end, sport coaches, accountants, medical students in their final year of study and a crown prosecutor. Quarter 1 Learning Fair
Years 1-6 shared what they had studied in Quarter 1 as they visited different classes across the school , where the children become the teachers for the morning. Classes set up a range of activities showing their learning across a range of subjects. Here are some of the focus activities in each year group.
Year 1 taught us how to become budding historians and shared their exploration of children’s games through the ages. Year 2 became young artists using tints and shades of colour in the style of Lubaina Himid. Year 3 shared writing in hieroglyphics - Ancient Egyptian style. Year 4 delved into modelling and painting clay pots - Ancient Greek style. Year 5 explored street art work inspired by Keith Haring .Finally, Year 6 produced clay masks of Benin City - mirroring Ancient Benin bronze artwork .
