Quarter 2

Year 1's visit to the Science Museum

Year 1 had an exciting visit to The Science Museum where they explored the space workshop! Year 1 embarked on learning about space as part of their curriculum this quarter; they went to explore some information and artefacts about space. Year 1 found key information about Katherine Johnson (one of our House Representatives) and her clever work in calculating trajectories for space orbiting. Her work was key in the Apollo 11 mission.

Year 4's Visit to a Hindu Temple

Year 4 went to visit a Hindi Temple as part of their Religious Education learning and had an opportunity to experience all the learning around Hinduism first hand. The opportunity to visit different places of worship as children move through the school year, provides a deepened understanding of knowledge

EWPS Santa Dash.

We hosted a special morning run where children dressed up in their festive clothes and ran around the playground for 15 minutes whilst enjoying Christmas music! It was so lovely to see children enjoy being outside whilst being physically active.

Year 1's Visit to the Church

Year 1 were invited to the Ascension Church to take part in an interactive nativity performance. The children moved between different rooms and learnt about Mary and Joseph's role in the Nativity story, the journey of the Wise Men and Shepherds and how Christians celebrate Christmas in their own homes. It was very informative and supported the children's learning that is linked to their RE unit of 'How do Christians celebrate Christmas'. The children were very well behaved and had a lovely time.

Art Club's visit to Maryland Primary School

20 children from our after-school Art Club visited Maryland Primary School to explore their vibrant art exhibition in Stratford, themed around children’s rights. Pupils had the opportunity to engage with a wide range of creative art projects displayed in their school, offering valuable insight into how art can be used to express important social messages.

Rocksteady Showcase

Pupils who have taken part in Rocksteady band lessons this past term had the opportunity to perform to their parents and carers, as well as other pupils from across the school, demonstrating the skills they have acquired in their weekly lessons.
