Poetry week

EWPS celebrated Poetry week from the 3rd - 7th March 2025. Each year group focused on one of the school values and created different styles of poems. Take a look at some examples of the wonderful outcomes our pupils created.

Heard and Cared for

Sometimes when we're feeling sad

It can make the world seem bad

But if a friend would just be kind

They could help you change your mind

If you fall and hurt your knee

You can find a friend in me

To take you to first aid if you need

A little space to cry or breathe

Lionfish Year 1

I can care

And I can share

Play with all the girls and boys

With the lunchtime toys

Help your friends when they feel sad

So they don’t end up mad

Make friendships with everyone

And play in the sun!

 Art Club

Six members of the EWPS Art Club participated in the "Our Stories" art project, collaborating with artist Aya Haider and the V&A East Museum to produce an embroidered artwork that represents their unique identities. Their work was crafted with great skill, and the completed piece will soon be showcased at the Art Matters Exhibition.

Year 2 trip to London

Starfrish class had an amazing day learning about the Great Fire of London. Our first stop was Pudding Lane, where the fire began in 1666, and we imagined what it would have been like during that period of time. Next, we visited The Monument, a huge column that marks the location where the fire started. We learned all about its history and the impact of the fire. The day ended with a visit to the Tower of London, where we explored the castle, learned about its history, and saw the Crown Jewels. It was a fun and educational day!
